Cllr Chris Blythe

I am originally from Thornton, near Blackpool and moved to Cheshire in 1965 following my father’s company relocation from ICI Hillhouse to ICI Mond Division, Winnington.

We moved to Kingsley nearly 6 years ago and in 2023 I retired after 35 years running my Interior Design business which included a wealth of design projects domestic/commercial and we were involved in the refurbishment of Kingsley Community Centre.

Since moving to Kingsley my husband and I have become active members with the Le Velo Cycling Club, gardening club and most recently the KNVI playing as new members as part of the crown green bowling circuit. We are keen ramblers, caravaners and the enjoy the ‘outside environment’.

My new passion since retiring is gardening, it fulfils my enthusiasm for the outdoors and I would hope as a new Councillor I could inject some new energy in creating new ideas for local people, our local schools and social meeting places.  Kingsley village is a wonderful place and I hope to support and work as a keen member of the Parish Council.
