Danny Moores

Cllr Danny Moores

Like most of the family before me, I have lived in Kingsley since birth in 1971.

I attended the local Kingsley Community School and Nursery before moving on to attend Hartford High School. I was a member of the local cubs and scouts and have been a member of The Hurst Methodist Church for many years !

I have lived on The Hurst and am now on Chapel Lane and first served on the Parish Council from 2008 to 2019 serving as Chair twice during that period (a proud moment given that my mum had also served as Chair in the 70’s/80’s), and then re-joined in February 2021.

I work from home for ‘Natural England’ – the government’s adviser for the natural environment in England where I have been involved in working on the community forest project, delivering the CROW Access legislation, the development of the England Coast Path and management of the nation’s National Trails.

I try to keep myself fit with plenty of walking, running and cycling around the village and lanes of Cheshire and further afield – although that is becoming harder and slower as the years take their toll !

I’ve re-joined to try and do my bit for the village I’ve lived in all my life – I might not always get it right, but I’ll always try to do my best for the village and its community.

Any issues or if you think I can help, then get in touch.
