Cllr Mark Owen
I am originally from the land of the black pudding (Bury) but moved to Warrington in 2008 after meeting my then future wife. My now current wife and I moved to Kingsley in 2021 to get away from the very nice but busy estate we lived on.
I work for a major large engine manufacturer in Stockport having worked in the Marine industry as an Engineer since the age of 16.
After moving to the village both my wife and I have got involved with village groups (Book Club, Running Club, Kingsley and Newton Old Boys Bowls Society etc) and we are also involved with helping out at charity events in the village which some how involves being the proud owner and trainer of the Kingsley Maggot Racing Track.
I joined the council to represent the people of the village I live in. As is common in the council, we are not always right but we always try and democracy always wins the day. My only disappointment with the council is that more people of the community are not actively involved as councillors.
